The G593 Temporary Fee Code
For services given on or after March 6, 2021, physicians can now bill the G593 immunization code.
To support the government’s vaccine strategy and roll out, the Minister of Health has made an Order under the authority of subsection 45(2.1) of the Health Insurance Act to temporarily list as an insured service a new fee code for the provision of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Physicians who deliver the COVID-19 vaccine in settings, not designated as a COVID-19 Assessment Centre by the Ministry of Health, can use this fee code.
