Effective September 1, 2023, one new diagnostic code and one new explanatory code have been created for the new optometry appropriateness changes.
New diagnostic code and descriptions
- 976 – Poisoning by eye anti-infectives and other eye drugs
Explanatory code and description
- VN – allowed as a major oculo-visual examination for seniors with medical conditions
