The Ministry of Health (ministry) and the Ontario Medical Association (OMA) have been working together to implement physician compensation increases in accordance with the Arbitration Award for year 1 of the 2024–2028 Physician Services Agreement (PSA).
Effective April 1, 2025, the PSA Year 1 and Year 3 compounded (13.0286%) temporary increase on physician services provided between January 1, 2025 to March 31, 2025 will be ended. Please see Bulletin 241203 — Temporary increases for primary care and alternate payment programs for more information on the temporary payment increase.
The value of Fee Schedule Codes (FSCs) will revert to the rates listed in the Schedule of Benefits for Physician Services for claims with a service date on or after April 1, 2025.
Payment reversion to previous values
The PSA Year 1 and Year 3 compounded (13.0286%) temporary increase between January 1, 2025 and March 31, 2025 will be ended on all funding elements identified in the table “Payment Reversion by Contract Type”.
